I am a relatively new, self-taught artist. My inspiration comes from living by the coast and also artistic friends.
I always paint from the heart and let the paint flow and see where that takes me.
My seascapes are an emotional expression of how the sea and sky feel to me and my abstracts are more about colours and texture. For example in a ‘Glimmer of Light’ I try to capture the sea and sky on one of those gloomy days when the sea and sky appear to merge together as one, but then all of a sudden you spot that glimmer of light on the sea’s horizon and the flecks of sunlight in the sky and the day feels hopeful again. Plus life sometimes feel that way too and you need to focus on that glimmer of light in the distance to keep going and stay positive!
